1. Information We Collect
HubNotifier acts as a bridge between your Slack Workspace and your Hugging Face account. To provide this service, we securely collect and store:
- Slack Information: Workspace IDs, User IDs, and Channel IDs to route notifications correctly. For the user who installs the app, we also collect their Slack email address.
- Hugging Face Information: OAuth access tokens, refresh tokens, your username, and email address (if provided during OAuth).
- Feedback Data: Any text or bug reports you explicitly submit via the `/hf feedback` command.
2. How We Use Your Information
Your data is used exclusively to operate the HubNotifier service. This includes verifying permissions when you use a slash command, registering webhooks on the Hugging Face Hub, and routing incoming event payloads (like PRs and Discussions) to the correct Slack channels. We use the app installer's email strictly to send critical administrative notices, security updates, and occasional requests for product feedback. We do not use your email for marketing spam, and we do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties.
3. Data Retention and Deletion
We retain your data only for as long as your account is active. If you run the /hf logout
command, your Hugging Face tokens and active subscriptions are immediately and permanently deleted from
our database. If a Slack Workspace administrator uninstalls the HubNotifier app, the associated
Workspace tokens are revoked.
